The Two Dog Water Products That Have Become Must-Haves for Our Las Vegas Adventures

Anyone who spends time outdoors with dogs in Las Vegas knows water isn’t optional — it’s survival gear.

Between road trips, hiking trails, dog parks, camping weekends, and everyday outings around the valley, our team is constantly traveling with our two-year-old pup Roadie in tow. And if there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years, it’s this: finding a truly functional dog water solution is harder than it should be.

We’ve tried collapsible bowls, human water bottles paired with separate dishes, bulky hard-plastic designs with fold-down trays, and just about every “travel-friendly” dog water product we could find. Some leaked. Some tipped over. Some became magnets for dirt and sand. Others simply didn’t last.

A few weeks ago, though, we stumbled onto two products that quickly earned permanent spots in our travel gear.

The Portable Water Bottle We Keep Reaching For

The first is the Saker Portable Dog Water Bottle, also referred to as the Slurpy Sack, and it has quickly become our everyday go-to for walks, trails, and dog park trips.

What immediately stood out to us was its collapsible silicone design paired with a built-in drinking reservoir. Instead of carrying a separate bowl, the bottle folds open to create a drinking area directly from the container itself. Even better, unused water can be pushed back into the reservoir instead of being dumped out — a surprisingly useful feature when you’re outdoors for extended periods or trying not to waste water.

The bottle also includes a locking mechanism to help prevent leaks, and because it’s soft silicone rather than rigid plastic, it packs down easily when empty. We’ve also found it sits surprisingly well on the ground during use, which means you’re not stuck awkwardly holding it while your dog drinks.

One thing worth mentioning honestly: because of the silicone material, dog hair does tend to cling to it a bit. For us, though, the functionality far outweighed that small annoyance.

It’s become one of those products that sparks conversations at the dog park because other dog owners immediately recognize the practicality of it.

You can see more details on their Amazon listing. Priced around $20, the Saker Portable Dog Water Bottle is affordable and functional in our eyes.

The Camping-Friendly Water Setup We Didn’t Know We Needed

The second product has become especially useful for camping trips and longer outdoor days where managing larger amounts of clean dog water becomes its own challenge.

Officially called the Portable Dog Travel Water Bottle, this one feels less like a bottle and more like a compact travel jug with a built-in watering station.

Holding 84 ounces of water — roughly three-quarters of a gallon — it’s designed for situations where a smaller portable bottle simply won’t cut it. Instead of lifting and carrying full bowls around camp or trying to carefully pour water without spilling half of it, this setup uses a pull-out bowl with a push-button release valve that lets water flow directly into the bowl area.

That may sound simple, but in practice it solves several issues at once. The larger base keeps it from blowing over in the wind, the bowl folds neatly underneath when not in use, and it reduces the constant back-and-forth of refilling smaller dishes throughout the day.

For camping, backyard setups, multi-dog outings, or longer park visits, it’s quickly become one of our favorite additions to the “spoiled dog road trip gear” category.

Check out additional details on thier Amazon listing. With the price typically falling under $30, if you’re dog is a heavy drinker this could be a solution for you.

Why This Matters More in Las Vegas

In a city where heat safety is a constant concern for dogs, reliable hydration tools genuinely matter. Having easy access to clean water can completely change how long and how comfortably you’re able to stay outdoors with your dog — especially during warmer months.

Neither of these products is overly complicated, but both solve very real problems we’ve repeatedly run into while traveling with dogs throughout Nevada and the Southwest.

And after years of trying products that almost worked, finding ones we actually continue using week after week feels worth sharing.
