Golfers Can Support Shelter Pets at the ‘Beat the Heat’ Tournament in Henderson on June 28

A charity golf tournament in Henderson next weekend is giving dog lovers a reason to dust off their clubs while supporting local shelter animals.

The Beat the Heat Public Golf Tournament takes place on June 28, 2026, at Revere Golf Club in Henderson, with proceeds benefiting The Animal Foundation, the nonprofit that operates the largest animal shelter in Nevada.

The event is a four-person scramble format, open to golfers of all skill levels. Registration includes green fees, a golf cart, range balls, and a post-round lunch.

Players can also compete in on-course contests for closest-to-the-pin and longest drive, with prizes awarded across multiple flight categories.

Golfers who bring pet-related donations on the day of the event will receive a complimentary drink ticket and a stroke deducted from their final score.

All raffle proceeds go directly to The Animal Foundation, which takes in tens of thousands of dogs, cats, and other animals each year from across the Las Vegas Valley.

The organization relies heavily on community fundraising to cover medical care, food, and staffing costs.

Revere Golf Club is located at 2600 Hampton Road in Henderson. Tee times begin in the morning on June 28.
