Nevada SPCA has set its 6th Annual Neon Dog Walk for Saturday, October 17, at Silverado Ranch Park, with a goal of raising $125,000 for homeless pets in Southern Nevada.

Dog owners who register before Sunday, August 9, can lock in early bird pricing of $25 per person using the code EARLYBIRD.

Standard registration is $35 per person after that date, and children 12 and under can attend for free. Participants can register solo or as part of a fundraising team through the event page at give.nevadaspca.org/ndw2026.

Gates and registration open at 3 p.m. at Silverado Ranch Park, located at 9855 Gillespie Street. The walk itself kicks off at 4 p.m., with festivities running until 7 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to wear neon attire for the evening walk. Every registered walker gets a commemorative 2026 Neon Dog Walk T-shirt and a wag bag while supplies last.

The event also features a public Neon Village with a live DJ, doggie stage contests and prizes, local food and beverage vendors, a craft beer garden, and pet-friendly vendor booths.

Proceeds support Nevada SPCA’s shelter operations, medical care, enrichment programs, and adoption services.

Nevada SPCA executive director Lori Heeren called the walk a favorite community tradition that celebrates the bond between people and their pets while helping animals in need, reports Fox5 Las Vegas.

Nevada SPCA is a local, independent nonprofit that also runs a pet food pantry, low-cost microchip clinics, and medical assistance programs for pet owners across Southern Nevada. The walk has grown steadily since it launched, drawing more than 400 participants at last year’s event at Silverado Ranch Park.

The October date lands during what has already been a demanding year for Southern Nevada shelters.
