SPCA of Northern Nevada Wraps Up Pet Behavior Seminar Series Today
Why does your dog bark at seemingly nothing, or your cat insist on doing the one thing you wish they wouldn’t? The SPCA of Northern Nevada is closing out its October seminar series with one more opportunity to better understand the animals sharing our homes — and what their behavior may be telling us.
The final session of The Truth About Cats & Dogs takes place today, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the SPCA of Northern Nevada Adoption Center, 4950 Spectrum Blvd. in Reno. The free, community-focused series is presented by Certified Animal Behaviorist Kelley Bollen, MS, CABC, and explores the history, behavior and body language of the cats and dogs we love.
A Final Chance to Understand Our Pets
The four-part series has invited people to look beyond the everyday quirks and curious habits of their pets to better understand what makes them tick. Learning more about animal behavior and body language can help people recognize what their pets may be communicating and build stronger relationships with them.
Todays seminar is the final installment in the series. Whether you’ve attended the earlier sessions or are just discovering the program, the event offers a chance to bring your questions and curiosity to a learning experience focused on the animals who share our lives.
Free and Open to the Community
The seminar is free, and no registration is required. Attendees are welcome to come for this final topic without having attended the previous sessions. Donations are encouraged and directly support the SPCA of Northern Nevada’s work helping pets and the people who love them.
The session takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27th, at the SPCA of Northern Nevada Adoption Center, 4950 Spectrum Blvd., Reno, Nevada. This is a people-only event, so pets should stay comfortably at home.
For pet lovers in Reno and across Nevada, it’s an opportunity to finish the month with a little more insight into the companions who keep us guessing — and a better understanding of what they might be trying to tell us.
