Your Favorite Animal Rescue Could Win $1,000 — Nominate Them Now!

PetPlace, a robust online resource dedicated to supporting pet owners with valuable information, has proudly established the Heroic Hearts Collective. This program honors the incredible groups who dedicate themselves to caring for society’s forgotten animals. In collaboration with PetBest Pet Health Insurance, PetPlace recently announced an exciting opportunity to nominate and celebrate your favorite animal rescue organization. By nominating them, you give them a chance to win support from The Heroic Hearts Collective.

Five organizations will be selected from those nominated between now and March 21st, so don’t delay. Winning organizations will receive a $1,000 donation to aid their important work, 50 standard microchips from 24Petwatch, a Universal Microchip Scanner, and a feature on PetPlace.com. When considering who to nominate, ensure that the nominee is a registered 501(c)(3) animal rescue or equivalent in the United States, has been operational for at least one year, and prepare a few short and sweet details about why you believe they deserve to win.

Animal rescues face significant financial challenges, with annual operational costs continuing to rise in 2024 and 2025. According to recent estimates, the average small to medium-sized rescue requires upwards of $100,000 annually to cover basic needs such as food, medical care, and shelter. As veterinary costs rise, particularly due to advances in medical technology and inflation, many rescues report that medical expenses alone can account for over 60% of their budget. This stark financial reality underscores the importance of initiatives like The Heroic Hearts Collective, which provides crucial support to those striving to care for animals in need.

Ready to nominate your favorite rescue? Here you will find the information and submission for you to do so.  If you’re looking for inspiration on who to nominate, head over to our Welfare and Adoption section as we continue to add more animal heroes to our listings.
