Wondercide Brings Back Wonderween With Big Prizes for Pets and Rescues
Published October 5, 2026
Fall has arrived in Nevada, and Halloween is right around the corner. For pet parents already planning their dog’s costume, Wondercide is giving them another reason to get creative with the return of Wonderween, its annual pet costume contest.
Wondercide, which makes plant-powered pest-control products for pets, homes, yards and people, is bringing back the contest for its fifth year. And this year, three winning pets will take home prizes while also helping an animal rescue chosen by their family.

According to Wondercide’s Facebook announcement, Wonderween is open now through October 31st. Each of the three grand-prize winners will receive a $250 Amazon gift card, a large Wondercide product bundle and a $500 donation to the animal rescue of their choice.
That rescue donation is a particularly nice part of the contest. If your pet wins, your family gets to decide which animal rescue receives the $500, giving you an opportunity to support an organization that matters to you.
How To Enter Wonderween
To enter, post a photo or video of your pet in its Halloween costume on Facebook or Instagram, use #Wonderween and tag @Wondercide.
Entries are unlimited, so pets can make more than one appearance throughout the contest. Wondercide will also host a virtual pet parade on Halloween night, with the three winners announced November 1st.

A Little More About Wondercide
If the Wonderween prizes have you curious about the company behind the contest, Wondercide’s product lineup focuses on pest-control options for pets, homes, yards and people.

Its products include flea and tick sprays, spot-on products and collars, yard treatments, mosquito products and indoor pest-control options. The company’s website provides additional information about individual products, including ingredients, uses and directions.
Wondercide describes its products as plant-powered and states that its products are formulated to be safe for dogs of all ages, including puppies and seniors. As always, pet parents should follow the directions for the specific product they are considering.
A DFLV Camping Connection
Wondercide is also a brand we have used with our own dogs. Roadie and his predecessor, Shamus, have both used Wondercide as part of our camping routine to help deter mosquitoes from biting their sensitive skin while we’re outdoors.

That’s a particularly fitting connection as fall brings more comfortable temperatures for getting outside with dogs in Nevada. But for this story, we’ll let the costumes take center stage.
Get Your Pet’s Costume Ready
Wonderween entries remain open through October 31st, so there’s still time to find the perfect costume and enter your pet.
Three pets will win a $250 Amazon gift card and a Wondercide bundle — and each winner will also get to choose an animal rescue to receive a $500 donation.
