# Kiss My Paws Rescue Photo Contest Gives Las Vegas Dogs Their Moment in the Spotlight

Kiss My Paws Rescue is putting local pets in the spotlight with its 2nd Annual Photo Contest, giving dog lovers a chance to show off their best friend while helping raise money for the rescue.

 

The contest is already underway, but there is still time for pet parents to enter. Voting runs through September 18th, 2026, at 9 p.m. Pacific Time, and the current standings show just how quickly the competition could change.

 

## **The Top Three Could Still Change**

 

Nikko currently leads the contest with 100 votes. His contest bio describes him as a sweet little guy who loves sleeping next to his mom every night.

Shadow is currently in second place with 30 votes. His entry features him with his favorite bear, which he takes everywhere with him.

 

Coco currently holds third place with 25 votes. Coco was adopted from Kiss My Paws Rescue in 2023 and now lives in California, where she enjoys going to the beach with her pawrents.

 

With only five votes separating Shadow and Coco, and plenty of time remaining in the contest, the current rankings are far from guaranteed.

 

## **There’s Still Time to Enter** Your Dog

 

Pet parents who haven’t entered yet still have an opportunity to put their own dog in the running. The contest is free to enter, and votes cost $1 each.

The 12 top vote-getters will receive a free calendar and pin-up spot, with the photo shoot scheduled for September 20.

 

The top three contestants will also receive additional prizes. Third place earns a $25 gift card and a $100 Jacqueline Andrea Photography gift. Second place receives a Downtown Grand Resort & Casino gift set, a $50 gift card and a $200 Jacqueline Andrea Photography gift.

 

The grand prize includes a Las Vegas Sports Dream Basket, a $100 gift card and a $300 Jacqueline Andrea Photography gift.

Kiss My Paws Rescue announced the Vegas Desert Dogs as the first team donating to its Sports Dream Basket and called on Las Vegas lacrosse fans to get behind the fundraiser.

 

The involvement gives the grand prize another local connection while bringing together two things Las Vegas fans love: sports and dogs.

 

## Supporting Dogs in Need

 

While the photo contest is designed to be fun, the fundraising component supports the rescue’s ongoing work. Kiss My Paws Rescue says money raised goes directly toward caring for homeless and surrendered pets, including its growing veterinary expenses.

 

The organization is a licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and placing dogs in need. It also works to increase public awareness of dog rescue and advocate for improvements affecting animals in the Las Vegas Valley.
