Doodlepalooza 2026 set a Guinness World Record on Sunday, bringing 296 dogs to a Las Vegas water park for the largest dog pool party ever certified, reports Fox5 Las Vegas.

The event took place at Cowabunga Vegas, also known as Cowabunga Canyon. A Guinness World Records adjudicator was on site to verify the count.

The total beat the previous record of 276 dogs, set by Chewy in Coral Gables, Florida, in May. We Love Doodles, the event’s presenting sponsor, was officially recognized as the record holder.

Doodlepalooza was held during National Dog Week and welcomed doodles and poodle mixes along with their owners. Dogs swam and played in the wave pool, the splash pad, and the shallow water areas.

Organizers said the record was meant to shine a light on rescue work. Sheedvash Michael Zargari and Danielle Dunker of Doodle Rescue USA said the day gave hundreds of doodle families a reason to celebrate while raising awareness for dogs that still need rescue, foster homes, and forever homes.

Doodle Rescue USA is the Las Vegas nonprofit that Dog Friendly Las Vegas covered when it launched to help surrendered doodles nationwide.

The 501(c)(3) is building a foster-based rescue network that starts in Nevada and plans to expand from there.
