A raw dog food brand sold in Nevada has been recalled after testing confirmed salmonella contamination. Oma’s Pride, based in Avon, Connecticut, issued the voluntary recall on Monday for its Woof Complete Canine Chicken Recipe.

The recall covers 639 bags from a single lot, BB012729, according to the company’s notice on the FDA website. Each 6-pound bag contains 12 individually wrapped, 8-ounce vacuum-sealed portions.

The affected food was distributed to retailers and wholesalers across 11 states, including Nevada, and was also sold directly to consumers online and shipped frozen.

Owners can identify the recalled product by the lot code printed on the bag.

Three reports of dogs becoming sick have been linked to the contaminated food so far.

Dogs with salmonella infections may show lethargy, diarrhea, fever, or vomiting, and some infected dogs show no symptoms at all while still carrying and spreading the bacteria.

The FDA also warns that people can contract salmonella by handling the contaminated food, particularly if they do not wash their hands thoroughly afterward.

Anyone who fed the recalled product to a dog and is now seeing signs of illness should contact their veterinarian.

Las Vegas Valley dog owners who purchased Woof Complete Canine Chicken Recipe, especially through direct-to-consumer shipments, should check their freezer for lot code BB012729 with a manufacture date of January 27, 2026.

The company says no other Oma’s Pride products are affected and is investigating the source of the contamination, reports [ABC News](https://abcnews.com/GMA/Living/dog-food-recalled-potential-salmonella-omas-pride/story?id=135639213).

Owners with the recalled food should stop feeding it immediately and wash and sanitize any containers, utensils, or surfaces that came into contact with it.
