Finding a new furry friend and enjoying a homemade dinner can go hand in hand at an upcoming fundraiser supporting Dawg House Rescuers in Pahrump.

On Saturday, August 22, Pet Supplies Plus Pahrump will host a combined adoption event and dinner fundraiser from 3 PM to 7 PM, with proceeds helping cover veterinary bills and provide health and safety care for animals in the rescue’s care.

Chili, Bread Bowls and a Good Cause

The $25 dinner includes award-winning chili from Donkeys of Pahrump, last year’s first-place winner, served in sourdough bread bowls from D’s Sweet Bread. The meal also includes cornbread from Sly Drz, a side salad, a cake pop from Sarena’s Sweets, lemonade from Desert Delights of Pahrump and bottled water.

Because quantities are limited, organizers encourage guests to preorder. Meals can also be picked up to go during the event.

Along with dinner, the afternoon will feature adoptable pets, local vendors and raffle baskets, giving visitors plenty of ways to support Dawg House Rescuers while spending time with the local animal-loving community.

The fundraiser offers a particularly tasty way to help a rescue that is working to provide veterinary care and second chances for pets in need.
