What if winning an online auction could also mean choosing which Nevada animal rescue gets the money? Resources for Rescues is giving bidders that option with its Winners Choice Pawction, now open for bidding through October 11th.

 

The fundraiser features 55 items, with everything from games and electronics to household and recreational items. But the most interesting part may be what happens after the bidding: 50% of the net proceeds from the items go to the winning bidder’s choice of a qualifying Nevada animal rescue or animal welfare organization.

Rather than directing all of the fundraising proceeds to one organization, Resources for Rescues lets winning bidders choose where their portion goes. The selected organization must be a 501(c)(3) Nevada charity primarily involved in animal rescue or animal welfare.

 

That means a winning bid can support a rescue you already know and care about — or give you a reason to discover another organization doing animal welfare work in Nevada.
