21st Annual Battle of the Rattle 5K
The 21st Annual Battle of the Rattle 5K, hosted by the Nevada Diabetes Association, is poised to challenge and delight participants once again on September 19 in Reno. Held at the scenic location of 5390 Longley Lane, this engaging event welcomes runners and walkers to a dynamic 3.1-mile course that combines dirt roads, single-track trails, and pavement. With over 800 feet of elevation change, the course promises an exciting test of endurance and agility, all while supporting a cause that makes a difference in the community.
Participants have the option to join individually or as part of adult team divisions, adding a competitive edge to the race experience. Dogs are welcome to accompany their humans on this memorable run, and costumes are not only welcome but encouraged, creating a festive atmosphere for all. The race kicks off at 10:00 a.m., with registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. Those who join this event will not only enjoy a day of fun and fitness but also contribute to a meaningful mission, as proceeds go towards sending local children with diabetes to camp, enhancing their lives and supporting their health journey.
