Bark in the Park: 5K & Fun Run
Bark in the Park: 5K & Fun Run is set to return on May 16 at Churchill County Regional Park in Fallon, marking a special occasion as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. This beloved event not only promotes fitness and fun but also serves as a pivotal fundraising opportunity for the Churchill Animal Protection Society (CAPS), which has been dedicated to serving the community for over four decades. Participants can look forward to an invigorating morning that brings together animal lovers, fitness enthusiasts, and compassionate individuals eager to support Churchill County’s no-kill animal shelter.
This engaging event offers a choice between a competitive 5K Run at 7:30 AM and a more relaxed Fun Run at 9 AM, with furry friends encouraged to join in on the excitement. Beyond the races, attendees can enjoy additional activities such as the America 250 Patriotic Costume Contest, vibrant Spirit Teams, and lively performances by Leeteville Junction from 11 AM to 2 PM. All registration fees contribute directly to CAPS' efforts to rescue and find homes for animals in need, making it a meaningful day of community engagement, celebration, and support for a noteworthy cause.
