Barxgiving

Celebrate the season of giving with Barxgiving, a dog-friendly fundraiser benefiting Barx Parx Foundation and its local Las Vegas rescue partners. The free, all-ages event features raffle prizes, a bake sale and a donation drive for much-needed pet supplies, including food, treats, toys, blankets, leashes and collars. The highlight of the day is the PUPkin Pie Eating Contest, with separate competitions for small and large dogs and prizes for the top three finishers in each category. Contest entry requires a $5 donation per dog, with sign-ups available at the event.

Barxgiving takes place Sunday, November 22, at Barx Parx, 8868 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 115, in Las Vegas. The small-dog pie-eating contest begins at 2 p.m., followed by the large-dog contest at 2:15 p.m. Attending the fundraiser is free, but access to the indoor dog park is restricted to guests 21 and older, and participating dogs must be registered with Barx Parx, pass a behavior assessment and meet vaccination requirements. Bring your pup, contribute supplies or join the festivities to help local rescue dogs.
