Pleistocene Palooza – National Fossil Day

Travel back to Ice Age Las Vegas at Pleistocene Palooza, an interactive outdoor celebration of National Fossil Day at Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument. Visitors can get up close with fossils, meet scientists, see live animals and learn how researchers piece together the story of the Pleistocene, when the Las Vegas area experienced a much different environment.

The free event takes place Saturday, October 17, beginning at 9:30 a.m., and includes a Junior Paleontologist program for younger fossil fans. Dogs are welcome, making this an unusual opportunity to explore the science and history of the area with your pup by your side.
