Casinos in Las Vegas don’t usually allow dogs on the casino floor, except for service animals, which are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and are permitted in all public spaces, including the casino floor and restaurants (trained service animals do not violate health codes).
There are plenty of dog-friendly hotels in Las Vegas, like Caesars Palace and The Cosmopolitan, that allow dogs in certain areas (like relief stations), but are typically restricted from loitering around the casino. They often have no issue with them passing through to reach another location though.
For example, if you’re staying at the Bellagio, you can walk your dog through the casino floor to reach the elevators toward the back. The issue may come if you’re sitting at a table or a machine, or watching someone play, with your four-legged friend on the floor next to you or on your lap. That’s usually a no-go.
This is the case for all of the casinos we’ve visited in Las Vegas, but rules can vary depending on the establishment. There’s no law banning dogs from the casino floor, so it’s at the venue’s discretion. Call ahead before visiting if you suspect the casino you’re looking at may be an exception.
We’re yet to find a casino that allows dogs in Las Vegas, but if you happen to do so, please let us know. We’re home to the largest collection of dog-friendly places in Las Vegas, and we’re always on the lookout for new additions. Where Can You Leave Your Dog to Go to the Casino?
Dogs can be left in rooms unattended in select hotels, but there are also plenty of local daycare facilities, some of which will even come and pick up your little (or large) friend and take him there for the day, and drop them back when they’re done playing, so you don’t even need to leave the strip.
