Have you been dying to try puppy yoga but stand firm on your “Adopt, Don’t Shop” stance and just won’t support any event with breeder pups?  Well then, Engel & Volkers along with Vegas Roots Rescue have planned an event you won’t want to miss on April 19^th!  Marrying Puppy Yoga with Adoptable Puppies!!!! 

This event will be led by Gloria Wood who is a certified yoga instructor and an agent of Engel & Volkers.  You can expect a fun and accessible yoga session with plenty of puppy and play time allotted in the 2-hour session.  Not only is it an opportunity to spend time getting in some furry snuggles and see how the downward dog is intended to be done (by the pups) but it serves as a chance to meet your new best friend and family member.   

Puppy yoga has taken the nation by storm and increased in popularity with social media’s irresistible coverage of the most adorable pups roaming studios and sleeping in laps.  With the rise in popularity also came the rise in ethical concerns and questions regarding the animal’s welfare.  Where classes are offered, the sensitivity and laws of the geographic regions are what look to be the determining factor in the classes’ availability and the sourcing of the puppies that are attending.  In situations where puppies have been provided by local breeders it’s often reflected on the hosts website, whereas many have moved to utilize local rescues and shelters such as Vegas Roots Rescue to participate with their adoptable puppies for a win-win yoga session!
