Nevada SPCA Issues Urgent Plea for Foster Homes as Long-Term Dogs Struggle in Shelter Environment

This week, the longtime Las Vegas shelter issued an emotional appeal for immediate foster placement for four large dogs — Jax, Max, Carman, and Bomba — who have spent extended time in the shelter environment and are now struggling emotionally despite ongoing support from staff and volunteers.

According to Nevada SPCA, the dogs receive enrichment, training, walks, and daily care, but the organization says the stress of long-term shelter life is beginning to take a serious toll.
