Las Vegas dog lovers can grab their running shoes, leash up their dogs and join Evolution Dog Training’s “Zoomies Unleashed” team for the Vegas Strong 5K on Sunday, October 4.

The team is bringing together dog-loving members of the Las Vegas community for a morning of movement, connection and support for a meaningful local cause. With Evolution Dog Training at the center of the group, the team offers a natural fit for people who enjoy doing things with their dogs and want to share the experience with others who feel the same way.

Run, Walk and Bring Your Dog

The Vegas Strong 5K begins at 8 AM in Downtown Las Vegas, followed by the 1-mile at 8:05 AM. Participants don’t have to be serious runners, walking is welcome, making the event accessible to people who simply want to get outside, move with their dogs and be part of the community.

Dogs can participate in the 5K as long as they are friendly and comfortable around people, other dogs, children, strollers and crowds. They should also be healthy enough to safely complete the 3.1-mile course. Small dogs can ride in a stroller if needed.

Evolution Dog Training is also offering support for participants who want to prepare with their dogs, including training tips and opportunities to meet up before race day.

Vegas, Dogs and Community

The Vegas Strong 5K/1M commemorates One October and brings the Las Vegas community together to honor resilience while supporting local needs. Net proceeds benefit ongoing One October funds and community initiatives, including scholarships, the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center and the Las Vegas Healing Garden and Remembrance Wall.

For local dog owners, joining “Zoomies Unleashed” is about more than completing a 5K. It is a chance to meet other people who enjoy sharing life with their dogs, explore Downtown Las Vegas together and show how dogs can be part of the community moments that bring people together.

Registration for the 5K is currently $55, with the price set to increase soon. The race begins at the Llama Lot at 900 E. Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas.
