Puppy Pinch Pots: A Creative Night Out Supporting The Animal Foundation

Pawsh creativity meets a good cause on Tuesday, May 20 at 6:00 PM with Puppy Pinch Pots, a hands-on pottery workshop benefiting The Animal Foundation in honor of National Rescue Dog Day. Hosted at Oasis Pottery, this event invites guests to unwind with drinks, treats, raffles, and a guided clay experience, all while supporting animals in need across Southern Nevada.

What Is a Pinch Pot?

A pinch pot is one of the simplest and oldest forms of hand-built pottery. Instead of using a wheel, participants start with a ball of clay and literally “pinch” it into shape using their fingers and thumbs. By pressing, rotating, and smoothing the clay, you gradually form a small bowl or vessel.

For this event, that traditional technique gets a playful twist as guests create pet-inspired designs — think treat bowls, small dishes, or whimsical keepsakes for your dog or cat. It’s beginner-friendly, relaxed, and designed for all experience levels.

A Hands-On Workshop With a Purpose

This is an all-inclusive creative workshop where everything is provided: colored clay, underglazes, glaze options, kiln firing, and step-by-step guidance throughout the process. Finished pieces are professionally fired after the event, so guests can pick up a fully completed, dinnerware-safe keepsake once it’s ready.

The workshop runs for approximately two hours and is suitable for ages 5 and up, making it a fun option for families, date nights, or anyone looking for a creative break from the usual routine.

Supporting The Animal Foundation on National Rescue Dog Day

In celebration of National Rescue Dog Day, 20% of all proceeds from Puppy Pinch Pots will be donated to The Animal Foundation, helping support shelter animals through medical care, adoption programs, and daily care needs.
