The Animal Foundation Benefits from Las Vegas Festival of Trees
For The Animal Foundation, the holiday season brings another opportunity to help animals find homes and get the care they need. This November, the Las Vegas nonprofit is one of two beneficiaries of Festival of Trees, a monthlong celebration that turns holiday traditions into fundraising opportunities for animals and children.
Presented by the Cabochon Community Service Club, Festival of Trees runs November 1stβ30th, 2026, with decorated Christmas trees, seasonal gatherings, a pet photo contest and other activities throughout the month. Net revenues from admissions, sponsorships and donations will be divided equally between The Animal Foundation and St. Judeβs Ranch for Children, a Boulder City organization serving abused and at-risk children, young adults and families.
For local animal lovers, the festival offers a way to support pets in need while taking part in the traditions that make the holidays special.
A Holiday Photo with a Purpose
One of the festivalβs most pet-friendly events is its Festive Pet Photo Contest, running November 20thβ29th at Cabochon Club. Dogs, cats and other furry, feathered or shelled companions are welcome in the contest, inviting owners to share their pets dressed for the season or simply showing off their personalities.
A suggested $10 donation supports both beneficiary organizations. Submitted photos will be displayed at Cabochon Club, with a winner selected on November 29th and awarded a gift basket.
The contest is a festive reminder that charitable giving can include the animals who are part of our families, too.
Trees, Traditions and a Community Fundraiser
The festivalβs signature event is a silent auction of decorated Christmas trees, with displays placed in selected Trilogy model homes and Cabochon Club areas. Bidding begins November 23rd and ends at noon on November 29th. Winning bidders take home the full display, including its ornaments, lights, topper, tree skirt and any included gifts or decorations.
The calendar also includes a festival opening event on November 23rd, a Jingle & Mingle cocktail party on November 24th, a holiday golf cart parade and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus on November 27th, and an Italian dinner fundraiser on November 28th. Admission costs and registration requirements vary by event, and some activities are intended for Trilogy residents.
A 50/50 raffle adds another opportunity to contribute. Tickets are $10 for one or $100 for 12, with half of the proceeds going to the winning ticket holder and the other half shared by the two nonprofits. The drawing is scheduled for November 29th at noon. Participants must be at least 18 to purchase tickets, and they do not need to be present to win.
Where the Fundraising Goes
The Animal Foundation works toward a future where every pet has a home and every household has the resources to care for its animals. Its services include adoption, lost-and-found assistance, low-cost vaccines, pet-care assistance and other resources for pet owners. The organization reported assisting more than 28,000 animals in 2025.
Its festival partner, St. Judeβs Ranch for Children, supports children, young adults and families facing difficult circumstances, with a mission focused on creating new choices and hope. It is not affiliated with St. Jude Childrenβs Research Hospital.
By supporting both organizations, Festival of Trees connects seasonal celebration with practical help for vulnerable members of the community, including animals that depend on people for their well-being.
Festival of Trees takes place throughout November at Cabochon Club and other locations within the Trilogy Sunstone community. Cabochon Club is located at 9560 Lapis Lane, Las Vegas.
