Want to help shelter dogs get the walks, attention and care they need while waiting for homes? The Animal Foundation is offering a combined volunteer orientation and dog handling workshop that lets new volunteers complete both steps in one session. Participants will learn about volunteer operations before moving into dog handling training, preparing them to begin helping with shelter dogs after completing the required training.
The workshop takes place Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at The Animal Foundation, 655 N. Mojave Road in Las Vegas. Space is limited to eight participants, and advance registration is required through the SignUpGenius registration page. Once registered, participants will receive follow-up information from the volunteer team.
