A Season of Giving – Norton Dog Training Brings Hope to a Local Family in Need

This holiday season, one Las Vegas business known for helping dogs is extending that same compassion to people — proving that community care comes in all shapes and sizes (and sometimes, with fur).

Norton Dog Training has launched a Holiday Giving Drive to support a local family in need — a family that’s faced an incredibly difficult year. Their only requests were simple: food and clothes. The children have gone without birthdays, and their parents told them not to expect Christmas gifts this year. But the team at Norton Dog Training — and the Las Vegas community rallying behind them — are determined to change that story.

Turning Compassion Into Action

The drive is collecting new and unused items to brighten this family’s holiday. From clothing, coats, and shoes to toys, books, and gift cards, every contribution helps bring comfort and joy where it’s most needed. Even small gestures — an unopened candle, a warm blanket, or a bit of wrapping paper — can make a world of difference.

The family includes a 10-year-old boy who loves military history (especially World War II), a 9-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old girl, along with their parents. Donations can include new or gently used gifts, or items you may have around the house that were never opened.

Where and How to Help

Items can be dropped off at Norton Dog Training (7115 Bermuda Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89119) — open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cash or gift card donations are also being accepted to help with groceries and holiday meals.

If extra items are received, they’ll be shared with Peggy’s Attic and Toys for Tots, ensuring no donation goes to waste and every gift reaches someone who truly needs it.

A Community That Cares

While Norton Dog Training is best known for helping dogs and their families build better relationships, this effort highlights something deeper — a shared commitment to kindness. By choosing to lift up a local family, they remind us that the heart of Las Vegas beats strongest when we come together.

This holiday season, Norton Dog Training invites you to help make a difference. Whether through a small donation, a shared post, or simply spreading the word — every act of giving matters.

Together, the community can make this season brighter for a family in need.
