Help Las Vegas Animal Rescues Earn $20K

SpotOn’s 2025 Innovation in Animal Welfare Grants Offer Opportunity

Is your favorite local rescue or shelter doing standout work for dogs in our community? They could be eligible for up to $20,000 in grant funding this year through the SpotOn Gives program — and your support could help them win.

SpotOn, a company best known for its GPS-powered dog fencing system, has launched its 2025 Innovation in Animal Welfare Grant program. It’s offering $100,000 in total funding to animal nonprofits making a real difference, especially for dogs and the people who love them.

This grant program is designed to celebrate innovation, community impact, and the everyday efforts that make animal lives better — whether that’s through lifesaving rescues, accessible community programs, or creative service dog support models.

And yes — organizations in Las Vegas and across Nevada are eligible to apply.

2025 Grant Categories & Awards

SpotOn will award eight grants total, divided into four categories:

• Shelters – $20K winner + $5K runner-up
• Rescue Organizations – $20K winner + $5K runner-up
• Working & Service Dog Programs – $20K winner + $5K runner-up
• New Hampshire Community Impact – $20K winner + $5K runner-up

If you’re a Las Vegas–based shelter, rescue, or service dog org, you qualify for three out of the four categories!

Key Dates & Timeline

• Applications opened: July 9, 2025
• Deadline to apply: August 22, 2025
• Finalists announced: September 5, 2025
• Finalist video submissions due: September 23, 2025
• Community voting period: September 25 – October 20, 2025
• Winners announced: October 23, 2025

Finalists will submit a short video to help tell their story — then it’s up to the community to vote.

Is Your Organization a Good Fit?

SpotOn is looking for organizations that are mission-driven, community-focused, and adaptable. Preference is given to dog-related work, but animal welfare orgs with broader missions are still encouraged to apply.

Ask yourself:

• Are you a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on animal welfare, especially dogs?
• Are you operating as a shelter, rescue, or working/service dog program?
• Can you share specific examples of your impact, including community programs, outreach, or lifesaving efforts?
• Do you have a plan for how you’d use $20K to expand or improve your services?
• Can you show creative thinking, adaptability, or innovation in your approach?
• Are you comfortable submitting a 1–2 minute video and promoting it online if selected?

If the answer is “yes” to most of these, your organization is a strong candidate.

Las Vegas: Let’s Get Our Dog Heroes Noticed

We know Las Vegas is home to incredible animal rescues, shelters, and service programs — but many of them miss out on national opportunities simply because no one tells them.
