Nevada SPCA’s Neon Dog Walk Brings in $80,000+ for Homeless Pets at Silverado Ranch Park
Nevada SPCA’s sixth annual Neon Dog Walk raised more than $80,000 for homeless pets and pet families across Southern Nevada, KSNV reported.
The fundraiser took place Saturday, October 17, at Silverado Ranch Park in Las Vegas.
Participants and their dogs dressed in colorful neon costumes and walked around the park.
Festivities continued with a live DJ, entertainment, doggie stage contests and prizes, food and drink vendors, and a variety of pet-friendly vendors.
Nevada SPCA said the money will help provide critical shelter and medical care for animals in need.
The funds will also support community programs that help pet owners keep their companions at home.
The total comes in below the goal organizers announced before the event.
Nevada SPCA had aimed to raise more than $125,000 this year, according to FOX5 Las Vegas.
Executive Director Lori Heeren said before the event that the walk has become “one of our favorite community traditions.”
The 2026 walk was presented by Findlay Subaru of Las Vegas.
Gates and registration were set to open at 3 PM, with the walk starting at 4 PM and festivities running through 7 PM.
Registration cost $35 per person, and children 12 and under were free.
Registered participants were promised a commemorative 2026 T-shirt and a wag bag while supplies lasted.
Dogs had to be friendly, current on vaccinations, and on a leash for the entire event.
Dog Friendly Las Vegas previously covered the schedule and details in Nevada SPCA’s Neon Dog Walk Returns to Silverado Ranch Park on Saturday, October 17.
That preview listed agility dog demonstrations, nose art for pups, and custom pet portraits among the Neon Village attractions.
