Dog owners looking for a way to give back this week can raise a glass for a good cause. Pints for Paws takes place Friday, July 24, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Voodoo Brewing Co. at 1415 S. Commerce Street, Suite 105, in Las Vegas.

Proceeds from the evening will support Majestic Park Animal Care, a local nonprofit that pays for lifesaving veterinary care for pets facing illness, injury, or emergencies across Southern Nevada.

Every pint purchased during the event contributes directly to medical care for local animals whose owners cannot afford treatment.

The event is designed as a casual evening out for craft beer fans, animal lovers, and anyone who wants their Friday night to do a little extra good. No tickets or registration are required, so attendees can simply show up, order a beer, and support the cause.

Majestic Park Animal Care is a familiar name to readers of this site.

The nonprofit was launched earlier this year by Dr. David Espinosa, co-owner of Majestic Park Animal Hospital and Vegas Valley Pet Hospital, and it has already paid $100,000 toward surgeries, chemotherapy, and specialized treatment for animals whose owners could not otherwise afford care, with Dr. Espinosa reguarly contributing content to Dog Friendly Las vegas too.

The organization has kept a steady schedule of community fundraisers since its launch, including a Diva Bingo Night in June that raised money for the same mission. Friday’s event continues that momentum with a new venue and a new crowd.

The need behind the fundraiser is real. Financial strain has become one of the leading drivers of pet surrenders in Southern Nevada, and dog surrenders in Las Vegas are at a ten-year high, with local shelters stretched to capacity.

Nonprofits like Majestic Park Animal Care aim to keep pets healthy, treated, and in their homes before surrender ever becomes the only option.
