The Animal Foundation Waiving Adoption Fees for Large Dogs From July 7 to 15

The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas will waive adoption fees for all large adult dogs from July 7 through 15, as announced by the shelter this week.

The event is part of BISSELL Pet Foundation’s nationwide Empty the Shelters campaign, now marking its 10th anniversary.

All adoptions during the promotion include spay and neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccines, and a microchip. An additional $10 licensing fee may apply.

The promotion comes as the shelter is managing one of its most crowded stretches in recent memory.

As we previously reported, the Animal Foundation took in 1,132 animals in the first 12 days of June alone, with hundreds arriving in emergency kennels.

Large adult dogs are typically harder to place than puppies or smaller breeds, and a fee waiver removes one of the most common barriers to adoption.

The Animal Foundation is the only open-admission shelter in Clark County, meaning it cannot turn animals away.

The adoption center is located at 655 North Mojave Road in Las Vegas, open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 AM to 7 PM.

Prospective adopters can browse available pets online before visiting, and the virtual waitlist opens each morning at 8 AM via a QR code at the shelter entrance.
