Las Vegas Locals Invited to Hot Chocolate and S’mores Event Supporting Local Dogs Tonight

A cozy winter evening is set to unfold at Beagletopia, as the Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation prepares to host its annual Hot Chocolate & S’mores celebration tonight. The event, scheduled for Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, will bring together supporters, volunteers, and holiday-season regulars for a night filled with warm drinks, homemade treats, and lighthearted entertainment. Held outdoors at the rescue’s Las Vegas property on Irvin Avenue, the fundraiser gives guests a chance to usher in December while supporting dogs in need across Southern Nevada.

Organizers say the evening will offer everything from classic hot chocolate to build-your-own s’mores kits, complete with all the fixings. Attendees can also enjoy soda, water, baked treats, and a range of $5 alcoholic add-ins for anyone wanting a spirited twist on their cocoa. With a modest $10 entry fee, the rescue hopes to draw a strong crowd ready to enjoy music, raffles, and limited merchandise in a relaxed and festive setting.

Though the event is inspired by the rescue’s mission, the yard will remain dark throughout the evening, meaning no dogs will be present. Guests are encouraged to dress warmly, as the celebration takes place entirely outdoors. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or Square, and organizers ask that visitors RSVP to help staff prepare for the turnout.

While the event promises sweets, music, and holiday cheer, its underlying mission is what drives supporters to return year after year. The Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation relies heavily on community fundraising to continue rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs across the region. Proceeds from the Hot Chocolate & S’mores night will go directly toward veterinary care, supplies, and foster support.

Organizers emphasize that the event is primarily for people rather than pets due to lighting limitations in the yard, though the rescue’s commitment to improving canine lives remains at the heart of the celebration. As one volunteer explained, the evening is “a chance for supporters to come together, enjoy the season, and contribute to the work that makes everything possible.”
