Puppy Love Returns to Silverado Park for a Community Celebration of Animals

Clark County Commission Chairman Michael Naft will host the third annual Puppy Love event on Saturday, February 7, bringing a family-friendly afternoon dedicated to animals, adoption, and community connection to Silverado Ranch Park.

The free community event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Silverado Ranch Park, located at 9855 Gillespie Street, and invites residents to celebrate the animals who play an important role in life across Southern Nevada.

A Community Event Built Around Animals

Puppy Love brings together animal lovers, local rescue organizations, and pet-friendly exhibitors in a welcoming outdoor setting. Whether attendees are actively exploring adoption, learning about local pet resources, or simply spending time in a dog-friendly environment, the event is designed to be approachable and inclusive.

“Each year, Puppy Love shows the incredible heart our community has for animals,” Naft said. “I’m delighted to once again bring the community together to celebrate the animals that enrich our lives and to support the organizations that care for them every day.”

Adoption Opportunities and Local Rescues

Local shelters and rescue groups will be on-site with animals available for adoption, offering families the chance to connect directly with organizations working in animal welfare throughout the region.

Last year’s Puppy Love event drew approximately 400 families to Silverado Ranch Park, with numerous adoption applications submitted during and following the celebration. The 2026 event is expected to be even larger, with organizers currently confirming approximately 35 exhibitors, up from 25 pet-friendly resources featured at last year’s gathering.

What to Expect at Puppy Love

Attendees can expect a relaxed, family-friendly afternoon that blends education, celebration, and connection. The event will feature pet adoptions, animal-focused resources, music, and activities for all ages. Pet-friendly vendors will be on site, along with vegan food and treats. Complimentary food and snacks will be available while supplies last.

Why This Matters

Events like Puppy Love help strengthen the connection between the community and the organizations working daily to protect and rehome animals. By creating a welcoming space for education and adoption, the event supports responsible pet ownership while highlighting the collective effort required to care for animals across Clark County.
