Foster Boot Camp

Foster Boot Camp is a dynamic event held on the second Sunday of each month from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, dedicated to helping foster dog caregivers build a successful and rewarding relationship with their new companions. Created to support both new and experienced fosters, this monthly boot camp offers the expertise needed to ensure fosters and their dogs establish a strong foundation right from the start. Participants will be hosted by Pawtastic Friends, an organization committed to providing necessary resources and guidance for those looking to improve their fostering experience.

Attendees of Foster Boot Camp can expect to gain invaluable insights from a professional trainer on various topics essential for fostering success. The event covers how to introduce a foster dog to a new home, manage a multi-dog household, and establish a consistent daily routine and leadership. Additionally, guidance is offered on training techniques such as loose leash walking and preparing the dog for adoption. While the event is complimentary for fosters, potential fosters, and new adopters, it's important to note that dogs should not be brought to the session.
