Not all hotels in Las Vegas accept dogs. In fact, there are quite a lot of hotels on the Strip itself that don’t, including The Venetian and the Wynn and Encore. But there are a lot that do welcome them too. For example, dogs are allowed at all MGM hotels in Las Vegas. Another name that rolls out the red carpet for our four-legged friends is Caesars Entertainment. In fact, we’ve found over one-hundred hotels that accept dogs in Las Vegas (including on the Strip and Downtown, as well as in Henderson and other surrounding areas).
Some hotels are more accommodating with dogs than others too. But if there’s one chain that loves dogs it’s Sonesta. It has two properties in Las Vegas, one of which happens to be on the Strip itself (Sonesta Simply Suites). Here, your dog will be treated like royalty. The staff often come and welcome your dog at check-in and dazzle them with treats, providing you with an arrival letter outlining local dog-friendly recommendations to ensure your trip to Las Vegas is one to remember. They’ll also provide amenities like bowls, waterproof mats, and blankets.
If you’re planning a trip to Las Vegas with your dog, you’ll also want to keep in mind that there are plenty of daycare facilities that’ll come and pick your companion up from your hotel and keep them entertained all day, and drop them back when you’re back in your room, so you can hit the Strip or explore one of the many outdoor attractions the city has to offer, without having to worry about the impact the heat is having on your dog. Plus, dogs are only allowed on the Strip during specific hours: You can walk your dog along the Strip between 5:00 AM and 12:00 PM (noon).
One other thing to keep in mind is that dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, except when visiting one of the many gated (off-leash) dog parks in Las Vegas or they’re in a private, enclosed outdoor space. Leashes must be no longer than three feet in length. This is both for their safety and to comply with local regulations.
