Can You Walk Dogs on the Las Vegas Strip?

Dogs are allowed on the Strip, but only during specific hours. You can walk your dog along the Strip between 5:00 AM and 12:00 PM (noon). Outside of these hours, dogs are not permitted on the sidewalks or streets of the Strip, except for service animals, which are welcome at all times.

When you’re on the Strip with your dog, make sure to keep them on a leash that is no longer than three feet. This is both for their safety and to comply with local regulations. The Las Vegas Strip can get very busy, even in the early morning, so it’s important to keep your dog close by and under control at all times.

Keep in mind that Las Vegas can be hot, especially during the summer months. Early morning is the safest time to walk your dog, not just because it’s permitted, but also because the pavement is cooler and less likely to burn their paws. Be sure to carry water for your dog and take breaks as needed.

Try Visiting a Dog Park in Las Vegas

Fortunately, there are plenty of Dog Parks in Las Vegas that offer a better experience than strolling the strip. Most have fresh water available for your little (or large) friend, and some offer shaded seating areas for us, their human companions, to rest while they make friends with the other dogs running free.

We recommend checking out Woofter Park. Not only does it have a shaded area to sit down and catch your breath (or pull Fido out of the Vegas heat for a moment for a sip of fresh water, available from the various fountains across the park) but it also has a series of jumps and obstacles for them to enjoy.
