Trump Hotel Las Vegas Pet Relief Area: Photos, Directions, and Information

Trump International Hotel Las Vegas offers one of the most convenient pet relief areas on the Las Vegas Strip. During our detailed walkthrough in 2025, we were impressed by how quickly accessible this area is — making it ideal for quick bathroom breaks and late-night emergencies. Here’s everything you need to know before your visit.

Quick Facts

  • Number of Pet Relief Areas: 1
  • Time to Pet Relief Area from Front Desk: Under 1 Minute
  • Distance Measured to Pet Relief Area from Front Desk: 242 ft

The Trump Hotel features a single pet relief area located just 242 feet from the front desk — a distance you can cover in under one minute. The area is not gated, but it was clean, had no noticeable odor, and bags were available during our visit.

How to Reach the Trump Hotel Pet Relief Area

  1. From the front desk, head directly outside toward the main entrance.
  2. The pet relief area is just steps away, directly next to the main road.

It’s an ultra-convenient stop for quick bathroom breaks, especially if you’re in a hurry.

What to Know Before You Visit

The Trump Hotel pet relief area sits directly adjacent to Fashion Show Drive, a busy road with regular vehicle traffic throughout the day and night. There is no fence or barrier between the grass area and the road, which means you need to keep your pet securely leashed at all times, in accordance with Clark County code.

The proximity to the road also means there’s consistent traffic noise, which may bother sound-sensitive or anxious dogs. This area works best for quick relief breaks rather than extended outdoor time or play sessions.

How Trump’s Pet Relief Area Compares to Other Strip Hotels

Based on our walkthroughs of pet relief areas across the Las Vegas Strip, Trump International stands out dramatically for speed and convenience. At just 242 feet and under one minute from the front desk, it’s significantly faster to access than other major properties.

For comparison, the Vdara Hotel & Spa pet relief area is 132 feet from the lobby and takes under 2 minutes to reach. The Aria Hotel & Casino requires walking 0.62 miles, taking under 4 minutes. The LINQ Hotel measures 528 feet from the lobby and takes under 3 minutes. And Caesars Palace is one of the furthest at 844 feet.

Trump’s advantage is clear: you avoid navigating through casino floors entirely. It’s a straight shot from the front desk to the outdoors, making it ideal for late-night emergencies or when you’re in a hurry.

While Trump wins on convenience, the Vdara offers a double-gated area (though the outer gate didn’t latch properly during our visit), and Aria provides two separate pet relief areas for guests to choose from.

Summer Heat and Seasonal Tips

Las Vegas summers are brutal for pets, and the Trump pet relief area has no shade coverage. Pavement temperatures can exceed 160°F in summer — hot enough to burn paw pads in seconds.

During summer months (June through September), the early morning and late evening are the safest times for bathroom breaks — ideally before 8 AM or after 8 PM when pavement temperatures are cooler.

If you need to take your dog out during midday hours, consider using dog booties to protect their paws from hot pavement. Always bring your own water since there’s no pet water station on-site.

Winter months (December through February) are ideal for using this pet relief area, with comfortable temperatures in the 40s to 60s during the day.

Where to Exercise Your Dog

While the Trump pet relief area is perfect for quick bathroom breaks, your dog will need proper exercise beyond this small space.

Dogs are allowed on the Strip, but only between 5:00 AM and 12:00 PM (noon). Outside of these hours, dogs are not permitted on the sidewalks or streets of the Strip, except for service animals. If you do walk your dog on the Strip during permitted hours, keep them on a leash no longer than three feet and stick to early morning when the pavement is cooler and less likely to burn their paws.

For off-leash play and serious exercise, the closest dog park to the Las Vegas Strip is the Vdara Dog Park, located about 0.9 miles away at 2600 W Harmon Ave. This small, free park features real grass, a gated area for off-leash play, a water fountain for dogs, and waste bags. Although it’s positioned next to the Vdara Hotel for their guests’ convenience, you don’t need a room key to access it — making it a great option for anyone staying on the Strip.

Tips for Using This Pet Relief Area

Bring a short leash of four to six feet maximum for better control near the road. Longer leashes give your dog too much freedom to wander toward traffic. Since there’s no water station, carry a portable water bowl, especially during warmer months.

Always bring backup waste bags even though bags were available during our visit. Be mindful that this area is highly visible from the main entrance — you’re in full view of everyone arriving at or departing from the hotel.

If you have an anxious or reactive dog, consider visiting during off-hours like late night or early morning for a calmer, quieter experience with less pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
