We Visited Winding Trails Dog Park — Here’s What We Found

Winding Trails Park may not have the high-profile amenities of larger dog parks in Las Vegas, but it offers a simple, functional off-leash space that serves its local community well. Located within a neighborhood park setting, this dog area provides enough room for casual exercise and quick outings, even if it lacks some of the polish and signage you might expect at more established locations.
There is no formal sign marking the entrance to the dog area, and while the two separate fenced sections are clearly visible, they are not labeled to distinguish between small and large dogs. Based on the layout and size, the spaces appear to be intended for general use rather than strict separation by dog size. If you’re visiting with a small dog or a dog that prefers quieter play, it’s worth taking a moment to observe which area looks like the better fit before entering.

Despite its modest setup, Winding Trails Dog Park covers the basics well. During our visit, we confirmed that water fountains inside the park were fully operational—a major plus given the Las Vegas heat. Waste bag dispensers were also stocked and available, which helps encourage good maintenance and responsible pet ownership. The grounds themselves were clean and felt secure, with double-gated entrances that provided safe transitions in and out of the off-leash areas.
Winding Trails may not be the kind of park you seek out as a destination, but for those living nearby or staying in the area, it offers a reliable option for letting dogs burn off some energy. The lack of shade structures and the absence of clear signage are minor drawbacks, but the park’s working amenities and generally well-kept appearance make it a worthwhile stop for a casual outing.
