We Attended Family Spring Fling and Car Show, Did You Miss It?

This past Saturday, the Dog Friendly Las Vegas team kicked off the day at the Spring Fling Pet Paw-Parade and Car Show at Floyd Lamb Park. The event brought together animal lovers, families, vendors, and car enthusiasts to enjoy a perfect spring day. While the sun was shining, the morning wind was brisk, leaving everyone managing tables either bundled up or chasing after tarps and papers before the event opened.

We arrived right at 10 a.m. and were greeted by a growing crowd. The expansive lawn, dotted with tables and lined with booths in perfect rows, looked stunning.

Our first stop was to check in with the team from Resources for Rescues, who were busy finalizing their photo booth and setting up their Easter egg hunt. They also had an assortment of baked goods and products for sale, with all proceeds supporting their efforts. Our Roadie was the first of the day to have his photo taken with the Easter bunny, and of course, he made sure to give the bunny a thorough cleaning with kisses before the shoot! Photos are available for purchase when the team attends events, and they’ve proven to be very popular, so be sure to stop by the next time you see them!

We then made our way over to meet the adorable pups on-site and available for adoption. VPRP had a table set up under the trees, where we met an incredibly bouncy bulldog who practically hopped around like he was on a pogo stick, impossible to miss if you passed by! Other amazing organizations like the Las Vegas Humane Society and A Home 4 Spot also had some of their pups on display, along with great raffle prizes and opportunities to help. The raffles were a big hit, and the spin-the-wheel prizes were especially fun to watch. One lucky family won a harness that fit their pup perfectly, what a great win, all while supporting animals in need!

Hearts Alive Village and SNARL were also on-site, sharing information about their upcoming events and how people could support their efforts, as well as offering helpful tips for pet care. While we certainly wish we could have visited every booth, we did get a bit distracted by the amazing vendors and cars at the show, there was a real sense of excitement in the air that made the event feel even more special.

Though we missed the paw-rade itself, it was clear the event was a success, with lines of cars waiting to enter the park as we left. The team managing the park did a great job with parking directions and ensuring that visitors had a smooth experience. We’re already looking forward to the next dog-friendly event, be sure to mark your calendars when they’re posted!
