Have you been looking for a way to help Las Vegas Animal Rescues with funding but just don’t have much to give?  Already participate in funding, volunteer and foster programs but seeking another way to level up your contributions?  We did a little digging and found that Smith’s Marketplace has a program that everyone who shops Kroger can participate in, that won’t break the bank or even cost you your fuel points! 

Smith’s Marketplace offers a program designed to support animal rescues in need. Through their community-focused initiative, you can donate to local animal shelters and rescue organizations directly at the checkout counter simply by linking your rewards card to the organization of their choice! 

The program is truly no cost to you and the only requirement is that you have established a digital account with Smiths which also helps you get access to ongoing sales, digital only coupons and other features if you choose.  With your digital account you can head to their Inspiring Donations page to find clear directions on how to link your account to the organization you’d like to help, simply have the name or NPO number handy when you start your search to ensure you link to the proper organization. 

Once enrolled Smith’s takes on the work from there, tracking your purchase volume through the digital shopper’s card and donating 0.50% of your qualifying purchases to the organization you’ve selected.  If you’re a regular Kroger shopper, you can positively impact your chosen non-profit as they’ll receive $0.50 for every $100 you spend on qualifying purchase and with today’s grocery prices, the donation amount will certainly grow! 

An additional perk, beyond helping pups in need, is that linking to this program doesn’t impact your fuel points or alternate rewards through the standard digital account. 

We did some digging and found 52 Las Vegas and surrounding area non-profits that you can choose from.  We did find an additional 10 that we weren’t able to determine if they were still active non-profits or if they retained their non-profit status.  We’ve provided the 52 we did find below, but advise you confirm that the organization you select is an active organization before linking your digital account.
