Henderson Animal Care is Offering $25 Dog Adoptions Through July 11

Henderson Animal Care and Control has dropped its adoption fees to $25 for dogs and cats through July 11, giving Las Vegas Valley residents a lower-cost window to bring a pet home right before the Fourth of July holiday, reports Fox5 Las Vegas.

The promotion runs July 1 through July 11 and covers both dogs and cats. The shelter has also announced special holiday hours tied to the promotion, though residents should confirm current hours directly with the facility before visiting.

The timing is deliberate. Shelters across the Las Vegas Valley typically see a surge of lost and frightened pets in the days following Independence Day, as fireworks send dogs bolting from yards and homes. Reducing the number of animals in kennels before the holiday frees up space for that incoming wave.

Henderson Animal Care and Control is located at Henderson Animal Protection Services, 350 E. Galleria Drive. Residents can also visit the City of Henderson’s website to browse adoptable pets before heading in.

If you’re not ready to adopt, the Animal Foundation in Las Vegas is separately waiving adoption fees for large adult dogs from July 7 to 15 as part of the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s nationwide Empty the Shelters campaign.
